The artists and bands have been selected!  Here are the nominees for the 10th Annual Canadian Independent Music Awards – “The Indies”.  The event will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 8:00pm at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel (Canadian Room) in Toronto.  The Indies acknowledge, promote and honour the achievements of Canadian and international artists in the independent music sector.  Tickets for this event can be purchased for $20 at www.ticketmaster.ca and www.canadianmusicfest.com.

This year’s show will feature performances by Burnz N Hell, Desperate Union, Plants and Animals, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Great Lake Swimmers and Constantines.  The show will be broadcast live to air on XM Satellite Radio’s “The Verge”.

To begin voting, enter your name and email address and click on SUBMIT.

To view this year’s nominees in each category, click on the category title.  To make your selection, click on the circle beside the artist’s name that you want to vote for and hit the VOTE button at the bottom of the category.  You will be able to vote once per category per email address.

Winners will be announced at the public presentation of The Indies.
